How are learning professionals dealing with the social web?

At the start of November, I posted a survey on SurveyMonkey which stated; "I have listed some examples of the 'social web'. I would like you to indicate your involvement in, or use of, each of these over the last 6 months, either in your personal or professional life." I also asked participants to indicate which of these activities they had ever done using a mobile device.

Sixty-seven participants responded. The findings are below (apologies if, like me, you need to zoom-in):

A couple of questions arose from this survey:

1 What is a feed-reader?
2 "I am supposed to use an online calendar for work but it does not link to my phone ... I would love to a) know how to do this and b) be able to persuade the powers above how ridiculous it is to have an online calendar duplicating work and then print out daily records!"

I will forward any replies to these questions. Also, feel free to comment on the above data.

Hi Dorothy. It's a pain. I've zoomed-in, which helps a bit. Wonder if anyone has a suggestion for more clearly displaying such an amount of data within a Ning blog post...

I seem to remember that Survey monkey lets you download the results in a variety of formats would a pdf embeded by something like Scribd be better?

Thanks David. The download facility on SurveyMonkey comes with a paid account, which I may have to sign up for. I'll look into the Scribd embedded pdf idea tonight.

If you use the Camera icon on Smart Notebook to take a "picture" of your results, you would be able to export it as a PDF.

Many thanks, Iain. I'll try that out next time. Meanwhile, do you see an improvement in the clarity of the results for Part 3?
