EDUtalk launches
EDUtalk is a non-commercial, education community project to gather the voices of educators. It is based upon the SLFtalk project which encouraged attendees at the Scottish Learning Festival in September 2009 to record voices and then published them online, in one place, with a Creative Commons license. More details on the background can be read here.
EDUtalk is a space to:
Publish recorded conference sessions
capture conversations
phlog your thoughts
create learning resources
interview other educators.
Competition Time
We would like to invite colleagues to contribute audio to EDUtalk right-away. You may, for example, be attending an education event during the coming week; meeting up for a discussion with fellow educators; or presently have something to say on an education issue or topic. If you fancy contributing some test audio or would like to make a serious contribution as a first attempt, then browse the various straightforward ways in which you can post audio to EDUtalk. We look forward to publishing your audio!

Each person who contributes to EDUtalk between Monday, 2nd and Friday, 6th November will be entered into a draw to win a brand new copy of '21st Century Skills: learning for life in our times' by Trilling and Fadel. The draw will be made at 9pm on Friday. As you can see from the above links, there are six different ways to post audio to EDUtalk; therefore up to six chances to enter and win! Not only are you exploring new ways to record digital audio and publish podcasts; you are helping EDUtalk by 'road testing' the site and the ways in which it pulls-in audio from different parts of the internet.
Finally, please explore EDUtalk.cc. You can: subscribe to posts; follow EDUtalkr on Twitter; embed a badge on your website; and browse the Cafe Press store if you want to, for example, spread-the-word at conferences. All monies raised via Cafe Press will be used to maintain the domain name or sponsor a TeachMeet event.

NB - The introduction to your audio should name the recordee. Any other participants should give permission at the start of the recording for the subsequent posting and distribution of the audio. The audio will be moderated to ensure that permission has been given.
