With two weeks to go until the launch of the three-year edonis project, I am delighted that ninety-four educationalists have signed-up to participate. Twenty-seven are communicating via email, with sixty-seven also joining the online network at http://edonis.ning.com. Involved are: primary and secondary teachers, FE/HE lecturers and researchers, inspectorate, consultants, parents, not-for-profit and commercial organisation professionals, local authority advisors, and national education support staff.
I have been working on developing the website. In the top left-hand corner you can listen to an audio introduction. Below this are links to many participants' websites. On the right-hand side is a 'feed aggregator', which provides links to the most recent blog posts by some of those taking part (I use Yahoo Pipes to do this). At the bottom of the middle section, you can click on 'Members' - 'View All' to browse participants, which will give you an idea of the international scope of this research.
Over the next fortnight on the website, I will post brief profiles from some colleagues who have replied to the introduction questions via email. If you haven't already answered these questions, please see the email I recently sent, or create or update your profile at http://edonis.ning.com.
Finally, there is still time to sign-up, so please pass on an invitation. I can be contacted at edonisproject@yahoo.co.uk.
