EDUtalk launches

EDUtalk is a non-commercial, education community project to gather the voices of educators. It is based upon the SLFtalk project which encouraged attendees at the Scottish Learning Festival in September 2009 to record voices and then published them online, in one place, with a Creative Commons license. Why top-down initiatives in education sometimes fail…

An interesting letter in a recent edition of the Herald (Tuesday 23rd June) provides a much more objective view of the recent graduation of Scotland’s first teachers qualified to teach Mandarin, and the Confucius classroom ‘hub’ schools set up to further the teaching of Mandarin.
