Lynda is a teacher of Additional Support Needs, working within Argyll and Bute. I am a teacher of Chemistry and Biology in Mid Yell Junior High School, Shetland. I teach from S1 (Yr 8) to S4 (Yr 11). Should I Moodle?

Just today I discovered my college has a Moodle - a great open source VLE, that's just been sitting there unused for a whole year! I'm going to use it to host some copyrighted resources that we've bought.
The thing that troubles me slightly is that I currently put all my resources on a wiki and communicate with my students via a googlegroup. Will opening up the VLE confine rather than free us? At the moment we are 'out there' with our small pieces loosely joined. Just thinking aloud :-)

edonis project update

With two weeks to go until the launch of the three-year edonis project, I am delighted that ninety-four educationalists have signed-up to participate. Presently, sixty-five education professionals have signed-up to take part in edonis; forty of whom have joined the Ning network.
