Please tell the group about your work in education

I am an Open University tutor. I am also a research student.

Briefly, in what ways do you presently use the internet in an education context?

I use the internet a lot for my OU work and studies. At the OU I teach a 'blended' course. I communicate with my students, colleagues and supervisor using a variety of web 2.0 tools: from forums to 3D virtual conferencing. I am also pursuing an EdD, researching in online and distance education. I am particularly interested in the role of blogs among students, educators and researchers.

What do you wish to get out of participating in edonis over the next 3 years?

Exchanging ideas and sharing experiences with like-minded geeks. Networking and learning from each other.
