The SQA has recently developed a new suite of pre-vocational qualifications called Skills for Work. We have been funded by the ESF to explore how we can support their assessment using technology. One of the areas that we are currently looking into is Games Based Assessment and we have chosen retail as a subject area which may lend itself to such an assessment.

Good to hear from you. And congratulations on bringing Martha to this world. How many children is that now? In the last few years we've had Fraser (4) and Jude (2) whose big brother Joe (20) is now at Art School in London.
I've been working with NCSL as a home-based e-learning specialist for nearly 2 years after 7 years at Warwick developing the online elements of the MBA programme and designing an online MBA for IBM. The lifestyle gains in working from home offset some of what comes with the package. I do get to work on some projects with national impact however, which is great.
