- Please tell the group about your work in education
- My day job - I'm the Health Promoting Schools Manager for The Highland Council and NHS Highland.
- Briefly, in what ways do you presently use the internet in an education context?
- I've developed a bi-annual pan Highland lifestyle survey that has taken 18 months to date to get to the stage where the questions have been piloted with young people and agreed. The survey has been developed to be a learning process with clear learning outcomes, pupils have a lesson about the process and the importance of health and wellbeing, a confidential diary and then a survey providing a snapshot of their week. I have developed a survey site for all P7, S2 and S4 pupils. This survey site uses open source software limesurvey.org
I also lead on the HIghland E-Safety Strategy - I am an Ambassador for CEOP and have designed the Highland 'Internet Safety and Responsible Use training'.
Finally, I use Twitter to keep in touch with colleagues involved in education / technology across the globe, it's a great way to hear of new developments and share ideas. I also attend the Ed Tech Round Up! edtechroundup.com

- I am really keen to progress my own learning, I see this as a great way for reflective practice and collaboration. I'm also pleased to helping out my colleague David.

My wifi is down at home and I have a big deadline tomorrow, so I won't be at ETR. Hopefully wifi will be sorted for next week.
I will post an mp3 of the 7 minutes I hoped to do at TeachMeet on this site by midweek.
