Please tell the group about your work in education

I am an Education Business Development Manager working for Cisco Systems across the Emerging Markets - I cover all countries in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS region.

Before joining Cisco, I worked for more than a quarter of a century in Scottish education, as a primary teacher, primary headteacher, local authority officer and national policy analyst. In 2001, I set up the Scottish Schools Digital Project (SSDN), now known as Glow and was Director of the Project until I joined Cisco in early 2007.

Briefly, in what ways do you presently use the internet in an education context?

Mainly for collaboration across the globe.

What do you wish to get out of participating in edonis over the next 3 years?

Deeper and more effective collaboration with like-minded educationists across the world
