- Please tell the group about your work in education
- I'm a secondary (11-18) languages teacher and senior teacher (i/s staff development) in a private girls' boarding school, also do training work for several companies providing INSET courses for teachers. Training work is in area of IT and MFL.
- Briefly, in what ways do you presently use the internet in an education context?
- Online games and resources with students, either whole class or individually, powering my own CPD by using a newsreader and following blogs, organising info using social bookmarking, using Audacity to create sound files - by teacher and by students. Running CPD blog for school staff and also diffierent ones for students. This year running a blog with partner class in France with one teaching group. Using clips from e.g. Teachertube in lessons. Using sites like www.voki.com to create student projects. Using slidesharing sites to share CPD material with other teachers.
- What do you wish to get out of participating in edonis over the next 3 years?
- Get to or stay at (?) cutting edge in IT as an educator! Leanr about the most effective ways of applying the technology.
