David the posting on the launch nov 3 at 9 AM. Is this intended to be interactive or is this the date and time your posting additional information about the project. Have you considered people being in different time zones and that if a time and date is listed that it indicate which time zone.

Profile Information

Please tell the group about your work in education
I am a Chartered Teacher at Hillside School in Aberdour, Fife. I graduated from Jordanhill (University of Strathclyde) in 1997 with a PGCE (Business Studies and Economics). After teaching in Chatham and Maidstone (both in Kent, England), I moved back to Scotland. I completed a PGCE in Inclusive and Special Education at Moray House (University of Edinburgh), before embarking on the Chartered Teacher programme. I am now on the Doctoral programme at Moray House.

I have a particular interest in: ICT in education; 'Health Promoting Schools'; Professional Development; and teachers' trades' unions.
Briefly, in what ways do you presently use the internet in an education context?
My pupils have experience of: blogging, creating and listening to podcasts, using Twitter, participating in the Voices of the World project and video conferences, and caring for our RealCare Baby.

I facilitate and participate in a number of online communities, including EdTechroundup and The Access Network. I use Twitter as my 'personal learning network'.
What do you wish to get out of participating in edonis over the next 3 years?
As well as carrying out my doctoral research, I am looking forward to learning from colleagues around the world; particularly about strategies for working around some of the barriers to using the 'social web'.
Finally, if applicable, please give the address of your own website. The link will be listed on the main edonis page
